Użycie czasu Past Perfect:
Czasu Past Perfect używamy gdy:
- mówimy o czynności z przeszłości, zakończonej przed inną czynnością/wydarzeniem z przeszłości
- w III okresie warunkowym: If it had not been for Cotton Eyed Joe, I would have been married long time ago.
- w mowie zależnej: Ashley said she had done her homework.
Budowa:
Czas Past Perfect tworzony jest za pomocą czasownika posiłkowego have w 3 formie – had oraz czasownika głównego w 3 formie (Past Participle).
